🇦🇺Oceania
Oceania eSIM —
one plan, many countries.
Trans-Tasman trips. Pacific island vacations. Multi-stop Australia + NZ + Fiji honeymoons. The Oceania Regional plan covers the route on local carriers — one activation, no border kiosks.
What’s covered
Australia and New Zealand on the regional plan with full carrier handoff, plus Pacific Islands (Fiji, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands) — coverage varies by network and plan tier.
Why a Oceania regional plan
Trans-Tasman travel. Sydney → Auckland → Queenstown is a single regional plan, not two single-country plans.
Multi-stop Pacific trips. Honeymoon hopping Fiji → Tahiti → New Caledonia, business travel that combines AU/NZ with islands, longer Pacific cruises that port across several countries.
Outback + South Pacific combos. Australia outback drive followed by Fiji wind-down — covered on the regional plan.
Oceania travel data tips
- Australia and NZ have excellent urban coverage but vast signal-light interiors. Outback Australia (Telstra is the only meaningful network) and rural South Island NZ both have multi-hour drive stretches with no signal.
- Pacific island coverage is excellent at resorts; drops between islands and on inter-island boats and small-plane hops.
- Both AU and NZ use Type I plugs. Pacific islands vary; bring a multi-region adapter.
- Trans-Tasman flights are short (3 hours Sydney–Auckland) — you'll often want connectivity at both ends without landing-then-buying.
Frequently asked questions
Does the plan cover Australia and New Zealand?+
Yes. Both are on the regional plan, with Telstra/Optus/Vodafone in AU and Spark/2degrees/One NZ in NZ. Smooth handoff at flight transitions.
Does it cover Fiji and Tahiti?+
Yes — Fiji on Vodafone Fiji / Digicel; French Polynesia on Vini / Vodafone PF. Coverage is strong at major resorts; small atolls vary.
How much data for a 2-week AU + NZ trip?+
Maps, social, photo backups, occasional video — 5–7 GB is comfortable. Hotspotting through Outback drives or a multi-week trip — 10–15 GB or unlimited.
Will my plan work in the Australian Outback?+
Telstra is the only meaningful network in most of the Outback; eSimphony plans roam to Telstra where available. Long stretches still have no signal — plan offline.
